A child (Two and a half years old Aradhana Pradhan, daughter of Arogya Pradhan) who fell into the gorge of Seti River in Pokhara on Tuesday was heard crying by her parents and other people. She fell some 60 meters down from the ground. Several rescue attempts were done by the Military People, Armed Police Force and the Local Population. All the attempts were ineffective but still people did their best and made several re-attempts as the sound of the child could be heard from the ground. This NEWS was then broadcasted by the different Medias. A rescue squad from the France Embassy in Kathmandu was sent to aid the rescue mission Ineffective attempts (due to their adult size) of the rescue Squad The gorge was dark, dangerous and too small for the rescue squad to go in. However the rescue squad team managed to reach the depth of 55 feet. It was still impossible to remove the child. The whole population camped during the night too and made several attempts. The elder people prayed god for a successful rescue and lots of people from the crowd were already giving hope. Soon it was morning (22 hours). Every people were very sad as they were not able to rescue the child. The rescue squad was tired and frustrated. Their body size was not letting them to crawl into the dark gorge and hence they were not successful to rescue the child. Everyone was thinking of several alternative ideas. Soon a 13 year old kid from the crowd volunteered himself to crawl into the gorge with ropes attached to him and make an attempt. Lots of people said that he is too small and babyish for the rescue, but still the child insisted to make an attempt. It was a logical decision to rope himself and crawl into the gorge as the child was small himself. This kid Kamal Nepali trained for the rope technical parts An attempt by a 13 year kid Kamal Nepali, assisted by the rescue squad The child finally rescued by a 13 year Kamal Nepali Soon this child (A local resident of Pokhara, Kamal Nepali) was tied with ropes around him and was trained the technical parts of the rope hanging and climbing. He was then given a safety helmet with a high beam torch light fixed into it. But as the safety helmet was too big for him and was disturbing his eyesight he decided to remove it and make an attempt without any safety outfits. He then was hanged with the ropes and slowly placed into the deep dark gorge. It took him several minutes. After a long struggle of the rescue squad pulling him up and down to maintain his easy position, he finally reached the bottom of the gorge. After about half an hour the rescue squad was pulling him up. The whole crowd was silent at this moment. They thought both the child and the Kid himself died in the gorge. But to their amazement they saw a smiling face of the Kid with the child who was breathing. Everyone was so amazed, so happy and so blissful. The Kid finally rescued the child from such a dangerous gorge. The crowd carried the kid and rejoiced for his heroic attempt. The Military troops, Armed Police, Journalist, Rescue Squad and the whole population thanked him. Everyone hugged him. The journalists were taking his photos. He finally did it. People said he didn't just rescue the child but it was so brave of him that he dared. How do you like this real happening?
