Did you ever wake, and Watch the morning sunrise As it's beauty shows the dawn. And catch yourself yet, Still sleepy as you begin to yawn! Did you ever wake, and Wonder what the new day will bring, As you hear the birds when they begin to sing. and see a Butterfly, as it Flutters across the sky. Did you ever wake and wonder, if the sky would stay blue or if a rainy day would come, after the morning dew. Did you ever lay in a field of sweet bluebonnets watching the clouds roll by while singing sonets of golden days gone by. Did you ever watch a rainbow With all its wondrous hues And wonder if others knew Gods promise to you! Did you ever marvel at majestic oaks Look high to see the gracious pines so tall and so fine. Did you ever pick a daisy and as you pluck the petals, wonder, does he love me Does he not. Did you ever really look at the great mystic mountains and wonder how high! Or watch a Roaring river, as it goes flowing by. Did you ever? I did! I never felt so close to God As I dreamed in days gone by I pray my friend, if you never ever, You will as time goes by.
